The cabin is located in the deep forrest north of Kongsvinger, a two hour drive from Oslo. You can park a 100 meters from the cabin, but this is still an area where you can go for days without meeting any other people. The cabin holds a basic standard, heated with a wooden stove. There is no electricity, but there is an solarpanel and battery to run lights, radio and to charge phones etc on USB. There is no cellphone coverage at the area.The main room of the cabin holds the kitchen, dining room and living room. If you have the patience for it, slow cooking on the wooden stove while having a glass of wine in the couch is truly recommended.The two bedrooms offer space to sit back and relax with your book or take a nap after a long day outside. The third bedroom is at the loft, and is a nice place for kids to play. With no sewage or water pipes in the cabin, the toilet is in the outhouse.
Nature and surroundings
It is a nice area with a lot of wildlife, nice lakes and mysterious nature as well as wonderful hiking and skiing opportunities. The area has numerous hiking and cross-country skiing possibilities just outside the door.Please note: - There is no cleaning fee, as we expect you to clean before you leave, with hot water and soap.- You must bring drinking water. It is posible to use water from a lokal river to cleaning and cooking (100 meters from the cabin)- Parking lot is located 100 meters from the cabin.- There is 4 duveet and 2 pillows- You must bring bed linen- There is a canoe whit years, but no life vest
