Welcome to our authentic 1950s Buggenhout caravan. The caravan retains its original charm and is comfortably furnished for two people, featuring a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, gas stove, running water, and electricity, and can be heated with a gas heater. The trailer is situated in a sheltered spot at the back of the property on our small-scale, mixed-use farm, “De Hommelhoeve.” You’ll have a view of our fledgling vegetable garden, where delicious seasonal vegetables are growing, and the pastures where our Brandrode cattle graze. The shower and toilet trailer is located at the front of the farmyard. We’re in the process of building up the farm, so there’s always something going on. However, there’s still a lot of work to be done, so we recommend bringing waterproof boots in wet weather or borrowing a pair from us. The trailer has a comfortable double bed, and there are two slightly less comfortable sleeping spots on the couches in the living room. There’s plenty of space next to the trailer to set up an extra tent.

Our small-scale farm is located in the small-scale bocage landscape of the IJssel Valley, between the IJssel River and the Veluwe. From the trailer, you can look out over the farmlands surrounding the farm. The meadows, grain fields, and orchards are bordered by groves, hedges, ditches, and wooded embankments through which a walking trail winds. Here, you can recharge and recharge your batteries undisturbed, live in tune with the seasons, and enjoy farm life, much like in the old days. Take a walk among the greenery of the trees and thickets, the colorful flowers and the beautiful vegetables in the garden, the herd of cows with their calves, the chickens and the hen with her chicks, the sweet dog, and a very cuddly cat. You can watch the sun set from the trailer and stroll along the path through the thickets and groves surrounding the fields and meadows. The Empese and Tondense heathlands are at the end of the street. The Hanseatic cities of Zutphen, Deventer, and Doesburg are within cycling distance via beautiful routes.
