Nature house in Appelscha

We rent out our comfortable , detached guest house. The guesthouse was built energy-neutral with heat pump and solar panels and was completed in 2022. The wild garden is laid out on the basis of ecological principles (including butterfly-, bee- and dragonfly-friendly). The guest house is located at the back of our yard , completely free with optimal privacy. Directly in front of the terrace is a shallow natural pond, where many birds feast and drink. A bedroom for 2 persons is located downstairs overlooking the meadows. Upstairs is a bedroom for 2 persons. (Not suitable for people who have difficulty walking).The beds can be made up as 1 double bed. Upstairs are two single beds that can be made up as 2 single beds or as 1 double bed. The landing has an additional single bed, in case all guests prefer their own single bed. The guesthouse has its own parking space and bicycle storage.

The guesthouse is located on the outskirts of the village of Appelscha and on the edge of the Drents-Friese Forest, including the Aekingerzand dunes and the refreshing Canada Lake. This makes it a fantastic base for beautiful hiking and cycling tours in the area. You are not only directly in the Drents-Friese Forest, but also the cranes of the Fochtelooërveen and the Unesco cultural heritage in Veenhuizen. From the guesthouse it is about 1.5 km to the Boerenstreek, where you can go for a snack or drink , the climbing forest or perhaps to a cozy summer market. In the summer you are welcome to use the vegetable garden. As long as supplies last!
