The cottage is located in a hilly region with many castles and small villages with as historical highlight at 40 km distance Vézelay with its characterful pilgrimage basilica from the 11th century. The cottage has a respectable age, at least 200 years, with an authentic look and furnishings. It has been adapted to contemporary standards of comfort and can accommodate 4 adults or 2 adults with 2/3 children. There is a generous double bed, plus a room with a queen, a single bed and a crib. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, dishwasher, induction hob and oven. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink, as well as a washing machine. There is a cozy terrace facing south and under the cottage is an old cellar with barrel vault. For the man of today, there is now also a good Wifi connection.

The cottage is located in a beautiful rural setting on the outskirts of a small village, bordering meadows with the famous Charolais cows. Far away from the highway, where at night the occasional owl breaks the silence and on a clear night the starry sky makes an overwhelming impression. During the day the sounds of the countryside, birds and only the occasional tractor that disturbs the peace. The surroundings offer many opportunities for beautiful walks.
