We are David and Henny. We have lived in Detern since October 2011. All this time we have been renovating, including this Tiny house at the back of the plot. A resting place to recharge alone or together. We live in front of the yard in the farmhouse accompanied by our dog.Cats, chickens, rabbits and goats happily roam around. The guesthouse is detached and offers a lot of privacy. We enjoy living here and like to share with you our beautiful and peaceful living environment. The Tiny house is about 20 square meters and is fully equipped. There is possibility to sit outside covered, parking at the plot and check in and out of the residence can be done contactless. In calm weather, wood fires can be lit outside on request. If necessary, a barbeque is also available. A camp bed for children up to 2 years old can be included. Charging an electric car can be done at a regular power outlet outside.
Nature and surroundings
The Tiny house is located on a spacious plot behind our house in the green and offers lots of privacy, on a cul-de-sac next to the railroad. It was built with recycled materials and is located near several amenities, supermarket, bakery (open Sunday morning) with fresh bread, butcher, pharmacy etc. Also take a look at our vegetable garden, find fresh eggs, or bring your binoculars and see different birds. There are several bicycle routes and there is a beach at Jümmesee. For short trips there is also plenty of choice, for example the touristy coastal village Greetsiel, museum village Cloppenburg and fishing village Ditzum. A bus stops less than a 5-minute walk away. Visit the barefoot path in Ramsloh or be a little more adventurous, there is the possibility of renting canoes and bicycles in the village.
