We are David and Henny. We have lived in Detern since October 2011. All this time we have been renovating, including this Tiny house at the back of the plot. A resting place to recharge alone or together. We live in front of the yard in the farmhouse accompanied by our dog.Cats, chickens, rabbits and goats happily roam around. The guesthouse is detached and offers a lot of privacy. We enjoy living here and like to share with you our beautiful and peaceful living environment. The Tiny house is about 20 square meters and is fully equipped. There is possibility to sit outside covered, parking at the plot and check in and out of the residence can be done contactless. In calm weather, wood fires can be lit outside on request. If necessary, a barbeque is also available. A camp bed for children up to 2 years old can be included. Charging an electric car can be done at a regular power outlet outside.
Nature and surroundings
The Tiny house is located on a spacious plot behind our house in the green and offers lots of privacy, on a cul-de-sac next to the railroad. It was built with recycled materials and is located near several amenities, supermarket, bakery (open Sunday morning) with fresh bread, butcher, pharmacy etc. Also take a look at our vegetable garden, find fresh eggs, or bring your binoculars and see different birds. There are several bicycle routes and there is a beach at Jümmesee. For short trips there is also plenty of choice, for example the touristy coastal village Greetsiel, museum village Cloppenburg and fishing village Ditzum. A bus stops less than a 5-minute walk away. Visit the barefoot path in Ramsloh or be a little more adventurous, there is the possibility of renting canoes and bicycles in the village.

Nature, peace & environment:How much we enjoyed! Cycled one day in the immediate area with rented bikes from the village. One day hiking in the beautiful nearby Neuenburger Urwald and one day doing nothing at all and enjoying the cottage and grounds. The cottage is small but has everything we needed, and the grounds more than make up for any lack of space: lying in the grass, eating with a view of the neighbor's cows, feeding the goats and having breakfast with eggs. Wat hebben wij genoten! Een dag in de directe omgeving gefietst met gehuurde fietsen uit de dorp. Een dag gewandeld in het prachtige nabijgelegen Neuenburger Urwald en een dag helemaal niks gedaan en genoten van het huisje en het terrein. Het huisje is klein, maar heeft alles wat we nodig hadden, en het terrein maakt eventueel ruimtegebrek ruimschoots goed: liggen in het gras, eten met uitzicht op de koeien van de buurman, eten geven aan de geitjes en ontbijten met eitjes.
