The house is an attractive authentic restored farm house located 1 km from the small mountain village 15400 St. Hippolyte (1100m). The house stands alone in the beautiful 'Vallée de Cheylade', one of the five valleys around the volcanic monument, the 'Puy Mary' (1789m), in the heart of the regional nature reserve of the Auvergne volcanoes. The house has a country style and is tastefully finished with beautiful and durable materials, natural stone floor in the living area, solid oak plank floors in rooms. Furnished with all modern comforts, vintage design furniture and new good beds and mattresses. The living area has two cozy high efficiency wood stoves that give the house a separate cozy charm during the winter period. The house is south facing with pleasant evening sun on the front facade and sunset terrace.

The region is known to nature lovers for its exceptionally well-preserved flora and fauna. Hikers will find their taste in many walks and trails along volcanic lakes, waterfalls, mountain rivers, beautifully carved valleys, peaks and "Route des Crêtes. Absolute highlights close by are the Massif of the Puy Mary, Plomb du Cantal, Lac Pavin, Plateau of the Cezallier, Chateau de Val in addition to the numerous very congenial little places and villages such as Besse and Salers (both Plus beaux villages de France), Riom ès Montagnes, Murat, Lake Cheylade, La Font Saintes, etc. For sports enthusiasts everywhere, numerous routes have been developed for hikers, cyclists, VTT and mountain bikers, in addition to specially developed bike parks for downhill sports, hiking trails and sports activities in the ski stations of Super Lioran and Super Besse.
