Nature house in Spijk

Come camp in our fire truck. It is a beautiful specimen in the garden of our farm and on the edge of the orchard. Here you may put your feet up on your own terrace, light a fire in the evening and collect your own chicken egg for your breakfast. The shower used to be a sheltered (outdoor) shower with hot water and a roof. From May 2024 you will use a sanitary unit and that gives a lot more comfort! Tip: A Whole Week Booked for a Price. There is absolutely "nothing" to experience here. No traffic jams, no big events and no major tourist attractions. Here you will find peace, space and a wide view. Here live people with wind-in-the-hair and 'faraway-eyes' trained to peer over the vast fields. Don't have faraway eyes? Bring binoculars and from your camping spot you are sure to spot a buzzard, harrier or a pair of deer. If you go to 't Wad and stand in the right place, you might spot a seal, but you are sure to spot all kinds of water and meadow birds: from spoonbill, avocet or stilt-walker and from lapwing to even black-tailed godwit or snipe. From here the boat leaves for the first German Wadden Island. The most beautiful nature can be found here on the border of land and sea. So you can cycle "over" the dike to Delfzijl, if you have a car (which is recommended) then you can visit all kinds of little gems from here: a borg, a huge bird hide and the northernmost brown cafe.
