Beautiful newly built wooden camping pod with a view on the south side over the Frisian countryside. Equipped with a lovely 2 person bed, a small kitchenette with refrigerator coffee maker, stove and pressure cooker. A nice little dining area and also a couple of lovely lazy chairs. At the front a nice little terrace facing south where you can enjoy the sun. Shower and toilet in the adjacent barn 10 meters away, you do not have to share it with others. And around the corner a beautiful wood-fired barrel sauna, which you can use for a small fee. And, 2 nice bikes, free to use.
Nature and surroundings
The camping pod is at the back of the grounds of cottages. The other cottages here are opposite, facing the water. Because of this, you hardly notice each other and have a lot of privacy. The cottages are located in Poppenwier, a small picturesque mound village in the heart of Friesland.

De pod was fijn met een mooi "erf" om in te zitten. Het (privé) toilet en de douche zitten in een afgezonderd gebouw op ~10 meter afstand. In de ochtend en tijdens regen is dit niet ideaal, zeker met vochtige planken bij de entree die erg glad kunnen zijn. We konden eenmaal gratis gebruikmaken van de sauna dat erg lekker was op een koude avond.
Nature, peace & environment:(Dit deel van) Friesland is erg plat met vooral veel agrarische ruimte en weinig ruimte voor echte natuur. De directe omgeving is erg rustig en het vakantieparkje is gelegen aan een watertje. Kayaks/Kano's zijn vrij te gebruiken, al waren de weersomstandigheden voor ons niet geschikt.
Met een fiets is er voldoende natuur te bezoeken, zoals de bekende meren en (afgegraven) veengebieden. -

Superknus huisje, vriendelijke eigenares. Prachtig uitzicht over de weilanden vanuit het huisje. Aanrader!
