Hidden among the trees of an old orchard, you feel like the ordinary world is far away. Stove on, read, play games, crawl away in the bedstead or eat outside on your own terrace. In addition, you can enjoy our large garden (3 ha) with both intimate corners and panoramic views. From 21/4 to 21/9 you can also use our outdoor sauna. Under the name Atelier de la Charité, we still rent 4 accommodations and 5 pitches in spring/summer. But rest assured, the gnome cottage offers a lot of privacy. The cottage of about 25 m2 consists of a veranda, a small living room with dining area, kitchenette (fridge, 2-burner stove, oven) and wood stove, a toilet/shower room, a bedstead (1.40x2m) and a (sleeping) room (1.60 x 2m) with a couch/bed. Upon arrival, the bedstead is made up. In summer you can also stay in the cottage with a family (2 adults, 2 children). Bookings are then made via our website.

We live in the Thiérache, a beautiful and non-touristy region just across the Belgian border, in the foothills of the French Ardennes. Under the name Atelier de la Charité, we rent out five pitches and four other accommodations. On our large property (3 ha) we let nature take its course for the most part. Cars stay in the parking lot, there are no paved paths. There is plenty of space so you can seek both the silence and the company of other guests. In the summer we organize communal meals. The surrounding landscape is green and rolling, meadows with hedges alternate with woods, the so-called coulisse landscape. There are many watercourses and a maze of country roads with small villages. You can make beautiful walking, cycling or canoeing trips and visit the fortified churches typical of the region. From April to October, flea markets (brocantes) are organized on Sundays and holidays.
