Nature house in Le Bourg d'Hem

Everything in the cottage is made and decorated with care and taste. The silence is rare and a wonderful place to unwind. The owner is very hospitable, the kitchen is well stocked and also replenished by previous guests which makes you feel extra welcome as a guest.

Alles in het huisje is met zorg en smaak gemaakt en ingericht. De stilte is zeldzaam en een heerlijke plek om tot rust te komen. De eigenaar is heel gastvrij, de keuken is goed gevuld en ook weer aangevuld door eerdere gasten waardoor je je als gast extra welkom voelt.

The cottage is very nicely decorated (with fresh flowers on the table upon arrival) and very spacious. Lovely to have breakfast outside. It is a nice place to unwind.

Het huisje is heel mooi ingericht (met verse bloemen op tafel bij aankomst) en erg ruim. Heerlijk om buiten te ontbijten. Het is een fijne plek om tot rust te komen.

Around the cottage it is wonderfully quiet and green. From the living room you open the large door and step into the garden with beautiful views. We spotted many animals such as deer, butterflies and birds of prey. Nearby are many small villages.

Rondom het huisje is het heerlijk rustig en groen. Vanuit de woonkamer doe je de grote deur open en stap je in de tuin met prachtig uitzicht. We hebben vele dieren gespot zoals reeën, vlinders en roofvogels. In de buurt zijn veel kleine dorpjes.

Beautifully converted, spacious, French barn with lots of atmosphere and attention to detail. Nice and original decor, combination of vintage and design. Very clean. Extensive and clear information in advance. Simple, but well-equipped kitchen. Fine ecological shower and (dish) washing products were in stock. The record player with long playing records from our time gave a nostalgic feeling. Well-functioning wood stove that provided lots of warmth and coziness when the evenings got chilly.Warm welcome. The grass had been cut on arrival and Thijs surprised us with a self-picked field bouquet. You can sit anywhere, outside and inside. Ideal place to do nothing and unwind. The "bathroom" with very spacious shower with a view, the dry toilet and sink give a high camping feeling and an extra dimension to your stay. Lovely, rural surroundings. Supermarket at 9 kilometers. We found it a wonderful place for a week's vacation, highly recommended.

Mooi verbouwde, ruime, Franse schuur met veel sfeer en oog voor detail. Leuke en originele inrichting, combinatie van vintage en design. Heel schoon. Uitgebreide en duidelijke informatie vooraf. Eenvoudige, maar goed geoutilleerde keuken. Fijne ecologische douche- en (af)wasproducten waren voorradig. De platenspeler met langspeelplaten uit onze tijd gaf een nostalgisch gevoel. Goed functionerende houtkachel die veel warmte en gezelligheid geeft als het 's avonds wat killer wordt.
Hartelijke ontvangst. Het gras was gemaaid bij aankomst en Thijs verraste ons met een zelfgeplukt veldboeket. Je kunt overal, buiten en binnen, lekker zitten. Ideale plek om niets te hoeven en tot rust te komen. De 'badkamer' met zeer ruime douche met uitzicht, het droogtoilet en de wastafel geven een hoog campinggevoel en een extra dimensie aan je verblijf. Lieflijke, landelijke omgeving. Supermarkt op 9 kilometer. Wij vonden het een heerlijke plek voor een week vakantie, een echte aanrader.
