About 17 kilometers away is the beautiful Lauwersmeer area where you can get a breath of fresh air. At Lauwersoog you can walk on the mud flats. In Groningen there is much to experience. Besides shopping in the city of Groningen, Groningen is also known for its rich history and many attractions. Visit the Groninger Museum, or if you like a challenge, the indoor go-kart track with super-fast karts and a cozy bowling alley. You can go fishing or take a cruise from Lauwersoog with the M.S. Tender. At Breakout-Grunopark you can do many sports activities and at Bullet Factory - an old milk factory - all kinds of indoor activities such as, paintball.
