This nature house borders a vast forest kissed by 3 countries. The peace, silence and clean air are beneficial. In the completely fenced garden there are 3 terraces, one of which is covered, even in the rain you can sit outside! Overlooking the pond with fish, frogs, salamanders. In the morning you wake up rested whistling along with the birds, while the squirrels meander through the trees. The cottage has 2 spacious bedrooms with large comfortable (made) double beds, bathroom with bath and towels, a simple kitchen where complete, refrigerator, double induction hob, microwave, kettle, Senseo, small oven, toaster, pans, cutlery, crockery, ... There is also a BBQ. And a fire basket. The B&B is not a Bed & Breakfast, but a "Bed & Forest". Dogs are welcome in the cottage ! (Treat your 4voeter against ticks) From the garden you walk straight into the forest! Disconnect from your busy existence and be inspired by nature!
Nature and surroundings
This nature house is adjacent to a forest that leads through three countries, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, you can also walk to the famous Drielandenpunt (5km), where a labyrinth is and a watchtower overlooking the 3 countries. In the vicinity there are numerous hiking and cycling (leaflets in the house). Kelmis also has a very special history; it has been an independent state for more than 100 years, because the countries could not agree on who would become the owner of this profitable zinc mine. You can find out all about it in the anything but boring La Vieille Montagne museum in Kelmis. Even more culture? Aachener Dom or good shopping, you can do that in Aachen, 10 kilometers from here. (Note: going to Aachen by car? Then you need a grüne Plakete, just ask me how to get it, saves a ticket! In Vaals is every Tuesday morning weekly market, 15 km, for fresh vegetables, fruit, fish, cheese, clothing, plants. The bus stops at 3 min walk.
