In the beautiful Dordogne region of France, we proudly rent out our gîte. The Dordogne River flows through the backyard and offers you a beautiful environment. Set on 1.2 acres of land, the gîte's location is private but not secluded, there is plenty to do nearby making it the perfect place to spend time with family and friends. Centrally located in the Dordogne, near Bergerac, there is something for everyone to do in this area! Hiking, fishing, canoeing or chateaus to name a few. Some of the best wineries are nearby as is Bergerac (with train station and airport), Saint-Émilion or the bastide village of Eymet, these are well worth a visit. Plenty of markets and flea markets to view and explore. The gîte has two large double bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room with a large sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen with all modern conveniences.- beautiful swimming pool- 2 covered terraces.
Nature and surroundings
We are a young couple from the Netherlands; Ingrid and Duncan, she a former bar owner and social worker and he, IT consultant. Literally months before the pandemic, we had decided to quit the pub and move up to a warmer place. We sold all our stuff and traveled to France for our adventure. We knew we would need some form of income, and to help us with that we decided to at least have room for a gîte. That's how we ended up here in what we consider paradise. We have put a lot of effort into making it the perfect vacation home, a real get-away place, where you can relax, enjoy the environment and the culture. We spent a week staying with Ingrid and Duncan, fine people and Ingrid even turned out to be an old fellow villager...small world. The house is fully equipped and the space around it, which you have all to yourself, is particularly pleasant. Nice pool, several (covered) terraces, BBQ at your disposal. Definitely a gem!
