Renovated spacious vacation home for 7 people with the possibility for 8th person in the mobile home. The house has 2 living/dining rooms, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, free view and garden all around. The garden has several terraces. The mobile home has a spacious bed, desk and heating. No toilet. The house consists of two former farm workers' cottages from around 1900, joined together to form a comfortable detached vacation home. The house has recently been thoroughly renovated. The 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are equally divided between the ground floor and the second floor. The dining room has a wood stove and there is a separate living/TV room with a box bed. The kitchen has an induction stove, oven, dishwasher and large refrigerator with freezer. Washing machine and a dryer. There is good wifi reception (fiber optic). Around the garden of the house is a ditch largely protected by vegetation.
Nature and surroundings
The house is located about 2 kilometers outside the village of Tzummarum and about 700 meters from the mudflats. Both at the front and rear there is an unobstructed view. From the living room and the bedroom you can see the dike on the Wadden Sea. On the other side you can see the village in the distance. Next to the house is a country with a horse, chickens, and 2 peacocks. There are also many birds, rabbits, and at dusk you can also see deer in the fields. When it is dark you can see the lights of the lighthouses on the Wadden Islands. From the house it is about a 10-minute walk to the mudflats. Close by are Franeker and Harlingen with its many cafes and harbor. From Harlingen you can make seal and mudflat walks or join a fishing boat at sea to fish (yourself). There is also a fish market in Harlingen every Thursday and Friday. The capital city of Leeuwarden is about 20 minutes away. There are many beautiful beaches along the IJsselmeer.
