Nature house in Les Eyzies

Our estate is located in the Périgord, between Sarlat and Périgueux, just a 5-minute drive from Les Eyzies. We have 22 acres of forest with a half-acre pond , a large rock shelter and a cave. The oldest part of the house dates from the 17th century, with extensions from later periods.There are 6 master bedrooms with queen and king size quality beds. The 8X4 outdoor pool is surrounded by an old stone wall from a barn that used to be there, and heated (28 degrees) from May to October. The house is in the woods and has hiking and mountain biking trails that lead to the surrounding valleys. The pond is a five-minute walk from the house. A babbling brook which originates in the higher rocks provides an influx of fresh water throughout the year, prized by our trout. The beginning of the pond is only a few inches deep, and gradually slopes down to 4 meters.

For mankind already thousands of years ago, the Périgord was a good place to live. The various caves that can be visited here today are clear evidence of this. The prehistoric wall paintings in Lascaux and Font de Gaume, are world famous and 30 minutes drive from us, as are the many castles that can be visited here. There are also departure points in our village for canoe trips and good food and drink.
