Welcome to Sun Cottage! Our four cottages are detached and set back on our wonderfully quiet and unique forest island. This is the last cottage of the four, with a fenced side garden and directly on the forest. The perfect base for exploring the Veluwe, walking or biking! Dogs are allowed, they love it here in the woods, by the waterfalls and on the heath. On the ground floor you will find the dining/sitting room with open kitchen, bathroom with separate toilet and a covered terrace. Upstairs are two bedrooms with double bed and two single beds. You have to go through bedroom 1 to get to bedroom 2. Especially for nature lovers a lovely quiet base to discover the Veluwe, walking or cycling (or by mountain bike, possibly for rent in the village at Bike & Eat). There is plenty of wildlife to spot, sometimes even from your cottage!

Overlooking the rolling cornfields, enclosed by the woods, here you walk directly into the forest or fields. To the waterfalls, spring and fens. The vast heathlands and sand drifts. Adjacent you cycle a little further through the Loenermark, to the Posbank or the Park de Hoge Veluwe including St. Hubertusslot and the Kröller Möller museum. Furthermore, there are many, many tourist attractions in the area, such as the Veluwe steam train, recreational lake Bussloo, Burgers Zoo, The Apenheul, The Open Air Museum in Arnhem, Kristalbad, the Spelerij and climbing forest Apeldoorn. You can rent bicycles at various places in the village, such as 'Bike & Eat' or 'Van Ark'. In the village, within walking distance, is a Spar and in neighboring villages Eerbeek and Beekbergen you will find the Jumbo, Albert Heijn and many other stores as well as weekly markets. Wenny June 19, 2023 General rating:The couple who rent the cottages are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Great cottage in fantastic location. We chose this cottage deliberately because of the fenced garden for our two keeshondjes. Unfortunately, the garden did not connect to the back door so we still had to keep the dogs on a leash in the adjacent field. What we especially missed in the cottage was a comfortable (reclining) couch inside and comfortable garden chairs which made it difficult to really relax. Enfin that is personal of course, but the reason we give a 7.
Het koppel dat de huisjes verhuurd, is ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. Prima huisje op fantastische locatie. We kozen dit huisje bewust vanwege de omheinde tuin voor onze twee keeshondjes. Helaas sloot de tuin niet op de achterdeur aan waardoor we de honden toch aangelijnd moesten houden op het aangrenzend veld. Wat wij vooral miste in het huisje was een comfortabele (lig)bank binnen en comfortabele tuinstoelen waardoor het moeilijk was om echt te ontspannen. Enfin dat is persoonlijk natuurlijk, maar wel de reden dat we een 7 geven.
