Want to unwind in beautiful Groningen? Begin the Pieterpad? Or are you on your way for a vacation on the Wadden? Then the comfortable vacation home Kwellerkwint might be a nice place to be. It stands in our large garden in Kruisweg, a rural village in Het Hogeland. You have a spacious living-bedroom, bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. Your bed is made, towels and tea towels are provided. Coffee and tea are included. A pellet stove heats the room. In summer you can sit outside in a private part of the garden. Where to start. Lauwersoog is 12 km away. You can take the boat to Schiermonnikoog from here. Or take a walk in the beautiful Lauwersmeer National Park. The park has been declared a Dark Sky area. With some luck you will spot the bald eagle that has settled here. Zoutkamp with its cozy colored houses on the fishing harbor. Hop aboard for a trip across Wad or North Sea. Take a day trip to "city" (Groningen), take a city walk, visit the museum, go to the Vismarkt on Saturday or stroll at your leisure through the cozy center. In spring, visit the bulb fields (yes really, we have them). Wadlopen from Pieterburen, where the Seal Creche is also located. And the beginning of the Pieterpad.
