Capannacce is a special place for us. Farm, but not only. It is home. For us and for the animals that live here, horses, chickens, cows, felines and canids. Indeed, the heart of the farm is the breeding of racehorses, English thoroughbreds. And of the Pontremolese cow, a native heritage breed. We are immersed in the Crete Senesi, where every summer sunset is a delight. The countryside made of quietness that soothes, but not far from the town of Rapolano Terme and all related comforts.

Nature and surroundings

We are nestled in the gorgeous Sienese countryside, right in the heart of the Crete Senesi, in the Ombrone river valley, very close to the town of Rapolano Terme. Here you can find quiet and silence away from the city buzz, with however the convenience of having a village only 3km away where you can find all the basic necessities, bars, restaurants and supermarket. The closest train station is 4 km away, as is the bus stop. Recommended, however, the use of your own car in order to have easier access to the surroundings. Strategic area both to enjoy the thermal structures in the village and to reach in a short time the major attractions of this corner of Tuscan paradise: The art cities such as Siena, Arezzo, Florence. But also the Chianti and Val d'Orcia areas. As well as the historic villages of San Gimignano and Cortona.

Cottage is cozy and we could sit outside in the beautiful garden. It was clean and everything we needed was there.

Very nice week in Tuscany partly due to our stay in Podere Capannacce. It is a very quiet secluded place in a beautiful location. Nature is very beautiful. There was a friendly atmosphere. You could hear a lot of noise and life of birds and other wild animals, and hardly any noise of traffic/people. One evening the 4 cows from the farm passed by while we were having dinner outside. They are allowed to roam freely from pasture to pasture and have a huge area to move freely. Observing them was super soothing and their relaxed "vibe" was contagious.
