If you feel like getting away from it all and enjoying the peace and quiet of Friesland, you are welcome in our nature house. The accommodation is located in the former hayloft of our farm. From here you have a view over the meadows and on the Jorwerdervaart, a side branch of the Elfstedenroute. The apartment has its own entrance and via a "lazy" staircase (there is no elevator) you get to the second floor. Here you will find a kitchen, a living and sleeping area with two box spring beds (90 x 210) and a bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a two-burner stove, refrigerator, oven, kettle and coffee maker. Bath towels and kitchen linen are provided and when you come the beds are made. Parking is available and bicycles can be stored in our barn. In short, everything for a relaxing stay, cycling, boating, hiking, enjoying the view, it's all possible here!

Nature and environment:The mound village of Bears is located in the heart of Friesland about a 20-minute drive from Leeuwarden, Sneek and Bolsward. It is unique because of the Poarte and Uniastate. The Poarte is the old gatehouse which used to give access to Uniastate. State is the name for a former castle or manor house. After the demolition of Uniastate in 1756, the idea arose in 1990 to revive the state in the form of a steel replica, as a mirage of the past. A visit is definitely worthwhile. A few kilometers away by bicycle are the villages of Mantgum and Deinum. Here are the amenities of a bakery and supermarket. Furthermore, there are several catering establishments within walking or cycling distance. In the vicinity are many trips to make. Think of a visit to the Frisian Museum in Leeuwarden, the mummies in Wieuwerd or the Planetarium in Franeker.
