Just south of the Morvan, in the Charolais, in the village of Issy L'Eveque, we have recently (2022) converted part of our house into a Gite. In a beautiful rolling landscape with meadows where the impressive Charolais cattle graze peacefully, we offer you a simple vacation home equipped with all basic luxuries. A bathroom with shower and sink with toilet. In the kitchen you have the possibility to cook delicious French dishes.Upstairs a living room cum bedroom, TV with Dutch channels and free wifi. There are 2 modern beds, possibly with electric blankets. All rooms are electrically heated. In front of the Gite you have a spacious private garden / terrace. The view is free and rural. You can eat outside, there is sun and, if desired, shade from the huge cherry tree. Also, you have a private place in our adjacent forest plot with a beautiful view, with seating and hammocks. We are passionate eco-horticulturists, anything "left over" we share for free.

Our charming village of Issy L'Eveque includes a good bakery, a small supermarket, a post office, bank with ATM and a cozy eatery! The village is surrounded by meadows with Charolais cows still living in their natural herds. The Arroux and Loire rivers, both within cycling distance, are great for swimming and for birdwatchers it is a paradise with the rare bee-eaters and shore swallows as the highlight. You can enjoy the rural tranquility right from the Gite on the nature trail. In the evenings enjoy the beautiful starry skies without any light pollution.Burgundy has many Chateaux, wineries and besides the great star restaurants also many simple eateries where for under 15 euros you get a fine three course meal in a great ambiance.From our house you can make day trips to the Morvan, the famous wine region Côte-D'Or. Our 2 pers canoe you may use for free.
