The quietly located vacation apartment/gîte of 125 m² consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a separate toilet, a kitchen, a spacious living and dining room. Everything has been recently refurbished and the plumbing is brand new. Outside you can enjoy the spacious, mostly covered, outdoor terrace and the adjacent garden that is only used by the tenants. You can park on private property and there is a separate room to store bicycles or possibly skis. We make the beds for you and there is 1 large and 1 small towel for each guest. The cottage + associated terrace and garden are non-smoking, and due to allergies, pets are unfortunately not welcome. For electricity (e.g. for electric heating) a fixed amount of 40kWh per night is included in the price, all extra use will cost 0,50€/kWh.

Our cottage is located just outside Xamontarupt, this small town is a 6 hour drive from Utrecht in the beginning of the Vosges Mountains. We are at 450m altitude, among the green hills and within 30 km there are peaks above 1000m. It is beautiful cycling and mountain biking here, in addition it is a walhalla for hikers. From the cottage you can walk in various directions, including directly on a dirt road and then into the woods. Hiking trails include beautiful coniferous and deciduous forests with mossy rocks, along meadows with views through the valley, along mountain roads, along streams with waterfalls and through quaint villages. Also hobby fishermen can indulge in the area.5km away you will find the Grande et Petite Cascade de Tendon. This large and small waterfall are definitely worth a visit. Besides on foot you can also get there by bike or by car. Gerardmer is about 20km away, this is a nice town situated on a lake and equipped with 40km of ski slopes.
