Nature house in La roche-en-ardenne

Beautiful cottage, modern, cozy and clean. The only thing that struck us negatively was that the visit was mainly designed for the convenience of the owners instead of the guests. You have to bring your own bed linen, towels and textiles (understandable if there is no washing machine), but also your own toilet paper, your own dishwasher tablets, soap, etc.. There are no basic products, not even olive oil etc. The fridge is empty, no bottle of water or a welcome drink or chocolate or whatever. The wood stove, on the other hand, is wonderful (luckily you don't have to bring your own wood), except that you have to wash your clothes and hair when you get home several times to get the burning smell out. However, the minus points described do little to detract from the overall experience: simply fantastic and a cottage to return to again (but then better prepared).

Prachtig huisje, modern, knus en schoon. Enige dat ons ten negatieve opviel was dat het bezoek met name was ingericht op gemak van de eigenaren ipv de gasten. Zo moet je je eigen beddengoed, handdoeken en textiel meenemen (nog begrijpelijk als er geen wasmachine is), maar ook eigen toiletpapier, eigen vaatwastabletten, zeep et cetera. Er zijn geen basisproducten, ook geen olijfolie oid. De koelkast is leeg, geen flesje water of een welkomst drankje of chocolaatje of wat dan ook. De houtkachel is daarentegen heerlijk (gelukkig hoef je niet zelf je hout mee te nemen), alleen moet je je kleren en haren bij thuiskomst meermaals wassen om de brandlucht eruit te krijgen.

De beschreven minpuntjes doen echter weinig af aan de algehele ervaring: simpelweg fantastisch en een huisje om nog eens naar terug te keren (maar dan beter voorbereid).

The place is beautiful and quiet, except for the lovely bird sounds. It can rightly be called a nature house. Everywhere you look: nature, trees, forest. Highly recommended.

Het is er prachtig en muisstil, op de heerlijke vogelgeluiden na. Het is met recht een natuurhuisje te noemen. Overal waar je kijkt: natuur, bomen, bos. Enorme aanrader.

This cottage has exceeded all expectations. You imagine yourself in the peace and quiet of nature and the cottage is fully equipped. It looked top notch and it is definitely a place to come back to.

Dit huisje heeft alle verwachtingen overtroffen. Je waant je helemaal in de rust van de natuur en het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien. Het zag er top uit en het is zeker een plek om terug te komen.
