Nature house in Dranouter

Welcome to our peaceful and cozy guesthouse, where simplicity and comfort come together. The cottage is situated on a small-scale agricultural and nature property spanning 1.7 hectares, featuring an orchard, vineyard, food forest, thickets, and hedgerows, nestled among the fields of a vibrant agricultural landscape. There are six sleeping spots, but due to the intimate layout, compact bathroom, and small kitchen, the cottage is most comfortable for four adults or a family with children. It can accommodate six, though you’ll be living a bit more closely together. One of the sleeping areas features a queen-size bed (140 cm). This place is best suited for guests who explore the region during the day and return in the evening to the peace and quiet of the countryside, and who take care of that themselves. There is a natural swimming pool on the property. The wood-fired hot tub is located privately on the terrace; the sauna and ice bath are situated by the pool and are also for private use. Wellness is optional: €98 per day or €140 for unlimited access. Living space in a former hayloft, ceiling height ±192 cm.

The property is located in Heuvelland near Dranouter, just 50 meters from the French border. This region is known for its rolling countryside, sunken country roads, and peaceful hiking trails. Because of its gentle hills and open vistas, this area is sometimes called the “Tuscany of Flanders.” From the cottage, you can set out right away on foot or by bike along rural roads, past small chapels, and through fields that constantly change with the seasons. The landscape consists of farmlands, meadows, hedgerows, and copses, dotted here and there with small villages and cafés where life still moves at a leisurely pace. A short distance away is also a French bakery where you can pick up fresh baguettes in the morning—a little ritual that fits perfectly with the peaceful rhythm of this place. The area is ideal for those who love nature, silence, and open spaces and want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a while. Moreover, every season has its own charm, from blooming fields in the spring to misty hills in the fall.
