Welcome to this sustainable cabin, which we designed and built ourselves. It’s located in a rural setting, but there’s nothing rustic about the interior of this eco-cabin. It’s fresh and sleekly decorated—almost a little chic. Think of this cabin as a large, luxurious hotel room, complete with a kitchenette and your own little garden. You’ll sleep in a comfortable double bed and relax in cozy chairs. Whether you need to use the restroom or just step outside, you’ll find your private bathroom with a shower and toilet just a few steps away across the deck. If it’s not too dry, a fire pit is set up for you to build a cozy fire in the evening. We do ask that you bring your own log for this. Pets are welcome. Keep in mind that the cottage isn’t very large, so it’s not suitable for really large dogs. We’re happy to provide a healthy breakfast, and on Wednesday or Saturday evenings, you can order an evening meal. We highly recommend taking advantage of this!

This little cottage is located at the back of our property on a small field sheltered by trees. If you peek through the trees, you’ll see the neighbors’ sheep—and in the spring, their lambs. Right now, a pair of woodpeckers is busy carving out a little hole in an old plum tree to start a nest. Last year, little blackbirds flew out of it. So there’s always something going on. The Achterhoek region is perfect for biking and hiking; the bike route network runs right past the cottage, and there are many trails to explore nearby. Experience the real outdoors as the neighbor’s cows are brought in from the pasture twice a day to be milked, fall asleep to the call of the little owl, or watch roe deer roaming the countryside in the distance.
