Nature house in Oignies en Thierache

A nice house with the necessary comfort. In the description could be (even) clear(er) that it is definitely not accessible when you are less agile. Also, it is definitely necessary to arrive at first light. Narrow and steep access road should also be mentioned. Several door handles are loose, as is the handle of the stove. Balustrade porch not solid. It was neat and clean upon arrival.

Een prettig huis met de nodige comfort. Bij de omschrijving zou (nog) duidelijk(er) mogen staan dat het beslist niet toegankelijk is wanneer je minder goed ter been bent. Ook is het beslist noodzakelijk de eerste keer te arriveren bij licht. Smalle en steile toegangsweg ook zeker vermelden. Verschillende deurklinken zitten los, zo ook klink van de kachel. Balustrade veranda niet stevig. Het was netjes en schoon bij aankomst.

In the middle of nature, peace and quiet definitely present. Plenty of birdsong but no wildlife spotted around the house.

Midden in de natuur, rust en ruimte zeker aanwezig. Volop vogelgezang maar geen wilde dieren gespot om het huis.

It is beautifully situated with an enjoyable view. But there are some refurbishments, including the railings on the high terrace that was not solid throughout.

Het is prachtig gelegen met een genietend uitzicht. Maar er zijn wel enkele opknappingswerken, waaronder de leuningen op het hoge terras die niet overal even stevig was.

You imagine yourself among the treetops and are awakened by delightful bird chirping.

Je waant je tussen de kruinen van de bomen en wordt wakker gemaakt met heerlijke vogelgefluit.

Greatly enjoyed our stay. Minor downsides are the ventilation of the downstairs bedroom and some smells from the sewer when sitting on the terrace and the wind is wrong. The Bold lock only seemed to work on one app; it may be just us, but it was not ideal with a somewhat larger party.

Geweldig genoten van ons verblijf. Kleine minpuntjes zijn de verluchting van de slaapkamer beneden en wat stankoverlast van de riolering als je op het terras zit en de wind verkeerd staat.
Het Bold-slot leek maar op één app te werken; het kan aan ons liggen, maar het was niet ideaal met een wat groter gezelschap.

Fine cottage in a spacious vacation park. Actually you forget you are in a park because of the privacy and the beautiful view of the valley. Good hiking area around the location. We went hiking for an hour like this and came back 6 hours later :) The cottage was adequately equipped for our party of 7, although not every bedroom was ideal. Upon waking up on the terrace amidst the birds, that was quickly forgiven.

Fijn huisje in een ruim opgezet vakantiepark. Eigenlijk vergeet je dat je op een park zit vanwege de privacy en het mooie uitzicht op het dal. Goed wandelgebied rondom de locatie. We gingen zo een uurtje wandelen en kwamen 6 uur later terug :) Het huisje was voldoende uitgerust voor ons gezelschap van 7, alhoewel niet elke slaapkamer even ideaal was. Bij het wakker worden op het terras temidden van de vogeltjes, is dat snel vergeven.
