Nature house in Marchastel terrou

Our cottage in Terrou started as a wild boy's dream. So a few years ago we found this house in the middle of nature, and it was gradually converted into a vacation home for up to 10 people. This house offers an oasis of calm and helps to distance oneself from the busy life. For example, there is deliberately no WIFI here, and there is only limited network connection in a few places. On the ground floor there is a large living room, and a large kitchen (stove works with gas). These rooms are heated by 2 quality wood stoves. On the second floor there are two bedrooms, a separate toilet and a separate bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed and bunk beds, the other bedroom has a double bed. On the second floor is the family room. Here there is a double bed, 2 single beds and a bathroom. Outside there is a large terrace with garden furniture and BBQ, and a swimming pond.

What can you do in and around Terrou? Rest, nature and adventure are the keywords! Several beautiful walks start at the house, or you can go horseback riding in the valley. The house is equipped with billiards table, kicker table, darts board, ping pong table, board games, TV with many DVDs. Marchastel (3km) is the nearby village where you can stop for a meal or a nice Ricard. Riom-es-Montagnes (15km) is the nearby town where there are several large stores, markets, restaurants and several hospitals. In Le Lioran (40' drive) you can ski, mountain bike or hike in the mountains. Salère and Auriac (45' drive) are authentic medieval villages with stores selling the typical handicrafts of the Cantal region. Lakes and water sports are a 45' drive away.
