Nature house in Lochem

This nature house is located in one of the quietest spots in the Bosrijk Ruighenrode Nature Park. Few cottages are rented out here, so it’s never crowded. In the secluded garden, you’ll often see squirrels and birds. The cottage is surrounded on three sides by the garden, which features shrubs and large trees. One bathroom (with a shower in the tub) and a separate toilet are located on the ground floor. There are also three bedrooms downstairs (Auping 1.80x2.00, box spring 1.40x2.00, and box spring 90x2.00 with a children’s crib). There is one bedroom upstairs (2 box springs, 90x2.00; these can also be pushed together). The luxurious upstairs bathroom features an infrared sauna and a shower/steam cabin. The cottage is child-friendly. We have one wooden crib, a bassinet (for babies up to 4 months and 8 kilograms), and two travel cots available. There are plenty of toys (for all ages). The house is spacious and fully equipped. Many basic amenities such as soap, coffee, tea, spices, etc., are provided. Beds are made, and two towels per person are provided!

The nature park where the cottage is located features plenty of greenery and trees. There are a few deer in the park, and there are chickens and pigs (at a private residence); other than that, there’s nothing else to do. You can enjoy a game of bowling at the hotel. The Beemd swimming pool is located 800 meters from the park. Lochem was named “Hiking Town of the Year” in 2022. You can take lovely walks in the immediate vicinity, for example in the “Het Grote Veld” forest area (a 10-minute walk). The Achterhoek has also been named the best cycling region in the Netherlands, and the landscape there is incredibly varied. Two mountain bike trails run along the edge of the park (the continuous MTB route totals 110 km). There are three restaurants within walking distance: De Zonnebloem, Eetcafe Dubbel Dutch, and the Brasserie at the hotel. The charming and historic town of Lochem is a 10-minute bike ride (or drive) away. All major supermarkets are available, and Lochem has a charming town center with lovely boutiques.
