STUDIO-55m2 is located on the side of the farm and has its own entrance and private terrace. You overlook the beautiful former convent garden of the Rijks monumental farm in the Wâlden landscape of the municipality of Achtkarspelen . In the studio you will find nature everywhere . Natural materials and earthy tones create a harmonious interior with a calming and relaxing atmosphere. A light-colored sofa, walnut table, woven baskets and linen and (gothic) cotton fabrics make it an oasis of tranquility. The studio has a large double Swiss-sense box spring, lounge area , dining/work table, bathroom with toilet, washer/dryer, TV, Wifi and a fully equipped kitchen. Around the farmhouse is a beautiful garden with an area of 3000m2 with several seating areas. Enjoy the roses, fruit trees, birds, horses. On order 10 euros per pers you will find the ingredients for 'n breakfast or drinks for the day of arrival in the fridge
Nature and surroundings
This nature house belonged to the then Norbertinessen monastery founded in 1242. The present farmhouse was built in 1767. The monument has historic rooms that are tiled beautiful Harlingen tiles and several tableaus that I would love to show you. The farm is located on the border of the open clay area of the Hogeland and northeastern Friesland, the lauwersmeer area. It is surrounded by the sheltered scenery of the Northern Frisian Walden and still breathes the atmosphere that the Frisian painter Ids Wiersma (Monet of the North) managed to capture in a unique way. Between the meadows you will see authentic thatched farmhouses and long avenues of oak trees which, together with hedges, canals, hedgerows and pingoes, form an ideal backdrop for a walk, bike ride or tour. Let yourself be taken to the various possibilities such as the Spitkeet, the Leijen, and the Kruidhof.Groningen Leeuwarden,Dokkum can be reached in half an hour for a wonderful day of shopping or culture sniffing.
