The cottage is located on our 21-hectare estate. It was converted into an authentic Portuguese nature house in 2021. At the front and at the back a lovely terrace with shade cloths and views over the estate. The cottage is modern with authentic Portuguese details We love to cook, so there is an open (well equipped) kitchen in the house and on the terrace an outdoor kitchen. The living room is furnished with a wood stove, (bed) sofa and art. From the large bedroom with double bed you walk straight into the colorful bathroom with rain shower. Our farmhouse (renovated 2025) is also on the estate and has a vegetable garden with fruit and olive trees. If you want a fresh dip, you can do so in the water tank converted into a swimming pool. Our cottage on the vast estate gives you space. Experience the silence, the view of the estate, the beautiful skies during "golden hour" and before you go to sleep enjoy the amazing starry sky.
Nature and surroundings
If you want to experience the real Alentejo, this area is the place to be. The estate is located on the border of the SW Alentejo e Costa Vicentina National Park. You will find the most beautiful beaches with high cliffs and views of the ocean. A 20-minute drive away you can surf, laze or look for mussels. Want to really experience the region? There is a great route network developed there, Rota Vicentina with the famous Fisherman's Trail, the historic paths inland and cycling and mountain bike routes. One of the routes even crosses our estate. From the estate you can see in the hinterland the 1000 meter high mountain Monchique. The towns of Zambujeira do Mar, Odeceixe and Odemira are all within a half-hour drive. And Sao Teotónio is 5 km away, here you will find all the daily necessities. There is even a nice walk through the countryside to the village!

Niets
Nature, peace & environment:We hebben enorm genoten van een week verblijven in totale rust op het landgoed van Rinkje. Het huisje is enorm sfeervol ingericht, je voelt dat het hiervoor door henzelf bewoond is. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien en nodigt uit om uitgebreid te koken. Zowel aan de voor- als achterkant van het huis heb je een fijne plek met schaduwmogelijkheden om lekker te ontbijten, bbqen en lezen. Aan de achterkant van het huisje staat zelfs een buitendouche. Ook van het zwembadje, dat op hele korte loopafstand is, hebben we genoten. Het huis heeft geen airco maar dat was helemaal niet nodig. Het blijft dag en nacht koel en er staat altijd een briesje (we waren er in augustus).
Rijkje wist dat we met een baby kwamen en was zo aardig om een badje neer te zetten. Kortom; we hebben een geweldige week gehad en zouden het aan iedereen aanraden. -
