This nature house is a Scandinavian lodge built of stacked round-trunk wood sourced from the far north of Europe. Through the use of these logs, the sedum-covered roof, floor insulation and double-glazed windows, the house has excellent insulation. On the outside the wood is treated to protect it from the weather, inside the logs are completely natural and therefore give a very special atmosphere, which suits outdoor living. Because the house is detached and surrounded by forests and farms of Natuurmonumenten you can rightly speak of a prime location in the Achterhoek. The small, exclusive park "Aan 't Hackfort" is named after the adjacent castle Hackfort. The tenant should note that the house is not a standard rental but has a personal, luxurious decoration because the owner himself frequently stays there. The books, the herbs from the kitchen, the firewood etc. everything may be used.
Nature and surroundings
Its location on the outskirts of the village of Wichmond is amidst hiking trails and cycling nodes. The environment is characterized by properties of Natuurmonumenten, estates, castles and farms. From home are all kinds of routes to pick up and almost infinitely extend both by bicycle and on foot. In addition, the places Zutphen, Doesburg and Deventer picturesque towns, worth visiting. The village of Vorden is 5 km away and is rich in virtually all the amenities a person may need from pharmacy to swimming pool, from Albert Heijn to Welkoop. The main thing that vacation home Hermitage Qr has to offer is outdoor living, peace, quiet and a unique wooden log cabin experience which is perhaps most like a mountain cabin but close to home and fully equipped.
