A traditional mountain cabin made of stone and wood, with a separate entrance and courtyard. On a single level, it features a kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and a large panoramic terrace with spectacular views of the valley. It has been perfectly renovated by us using locally sourced brushed larch for the paneling and hardwood floors. It is located about 30 meters from the road in a quiet setting. Spacious panoramic terrace. The hamlet features a typical mountain bar and a butcher’s and grocery store—both highly recommended!! On the terrace, overlooking the valley, there’s a refreshing sensory shower. Fabulous e-bikes are available for guests. 1 free use for stays of at least 6 days. Alternatively: For an additional fee, half-day or full-day use is available, exclusively for guests. We’ve renovated our cabins almost entirely by hand, with great passion, love, and attention to detail. For this reason, we ask our guests to take good care of them.

The hamlet of Martassina is located in the municipality of Ala di Stura at an elevation of 1,200 meters in a valley largely untouched by mass tourism—ideal for those who love the mountains when they’re “not too developed,” but rather more authentic and untamed. This cabin is perfect for couples, families, or groups of friends who want to spend a few days enjoying the tranquility of nature. It is equipped with a kitchen, dishes, and everything you need to be self-sufficient. It features independent heating with a pellet stove that heats the radiators and domestic hot water, which is produced by a solar thermal panel in the summer. There is a spectacular new terrace/solarium, built entirely of wood, with a sweeping view of the valley and the river. During the cold season, the cabin is handed over warm with the stove lit; guests are responsible for the cost of the pellets needed for heating.

The house we stayed in is warm and welcoming, and the space is very well appointed and carefully furnished, using mainly local materials of very high quality, as is the bedding. The apartment is self-contained, with a terrace overlooking the valley - a real plus, facing the mountains and overlooking the nearby torrent. The hosts, Cinzia and Paolo, are adorable. Very available and generous with their time and invaluable information for discovering the valley. A place to return to and recharge your batteries!
