Nature house in Breedenbroek Achterhoek

In the barn next to our rural farmhouse, we’ve converted the space into a charming nature house. The nature house features a parking space, a private entrance, and French doors leading to the porch with a patio heater, as well as a garden offering a beautiful view of the meadows, right in the heart of the lovely countryside around Breedenbroek/Sinderen. The living area is furnished with a sofa and two chairs, a dining table with chairs, and a television. The kitchen is equipped with a 5-burner gas stove with oven, a refrigerator with freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a filter coffee maker, and a microwave. The bedroom has a double box-spring bed and French doors leading to the veranda. There is a toilet, a rain shower, and a sink. During your stay, you can store your bicycles in a covered storage area where you can charge your electric bikes. The entire cottage is heated by underfloor heating. The bed is made upon arrival, and towels are provided. Kitchen linens are also provided.

The nature house is located in the countryside near Breedenbroek/Sinderen in the municipality of Oude IJsselstreek, close to the German border. The Achterhoek’s “coulisse” landscape is rich in forests and expansive meadows, estates and castles, as well as beautiful cycling and church trails. It is centrally located between the larger villages of Varsseveld, Ulft, Dinxperlo, and Aalten, among others, all of which offer a full range of amenities. The city of Doetinchem is 15 km away, and the city of Winterswijk is 20 km away. The Achterhoek has been named the best cycling region in the Netherlands by the Fietsersbond (Dutch Cyclists’ Union). There is also plenty to experience in the cultural sphere. The Dru Industrial Park, a former iron foundry, has been transformed into a popular destination. It features a theater, a pop music venue, an event hall, and a restaurant. The Engbergen Nature Reserve, with its beautifully situated open-air theater and Anholt Castle, is all within cycling distance.
