In the French Ardennes we converted a farmhouse into a chambre d'hôtes with 4 rooms and a forest cabin. That forest cabin is separate from the b&b on a wooded slope with its own terrace on a small river. Looking for a small vacation home, quietly located with all amenities? There is a bathroom with shower and toilet. There is a simple cooking facility incl pans, plates, cutlery, a refrigerator, kettle and cafetiere. Wifi, 220V , hiking maps, fire pit, EV charging station, towels and bedding are provided. A social, housebroken dog is welcome. (no large breed, 2 by arrangement) We have 4 dogs of our own, 2 cats, chickens and sheep. There are 2 streams running across our property. Min. age 18 years.
Nature and surroundings
The French Ardennes are not so well known, but no less beautiful for that. Here you will still find beautiful nature, tranquility and clean air. As the last house of the hamlet of Librecy, our b&b is located in the middle of nature. The road in front of our house continues as an unpaved path into the fields and forests. This is also the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. At 2.5 km is Signy lAbbaye, a somewhat larger village with many amenities. From the house you can make long and short walks, maps are available. Also at 15 minutes by car are beautiful hiking trails. Many routes are varied with forest, countryside and along farms. There are several mountain bike routes. Historical cities such as Charleville-Mezieres, Sedan and Reims are well worth a visit. Lovers of fun shopping, art and historical museums, champagne and good food have plenty of options in the French Ardennes for a weekend or week stay. Christophe August 22, 2025 General rating:Very well taken care of service. Breakfast was blissful, the forest cabin very cozy and the owners Marjella and Peter were super friendly.
Zeer goed verzorgde service. Ontbijt was zalig, de boshut heel gezellig en de eigenaars Marjella en Peter waren super vriendelijke.
Nature, peace & environment:Very quiet location on river in the middle of greenery. Nice facilities to enjoy nature even more such as recliners and campfire circle that allows bbq.
Zeer rustig gelegen aan riviertje midden tussen groen. Leuke voorzieningen om nog meer te genieten van de natuur zoals relaxzetels en kampvuur kring waarmee bbq mogelijk is.

Nature, peace & environment:We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in deze groene omgeving! Veel ruimte, natuur om ons heen en ook hadden wij veel privacy in het huisje. Elke ochtend kregen wij een heerlijk ontbijt van Peter en Marjella. Marjella en Peter zorgen ook dat je niks te kort komt en zij zijn een geweldig lief en warm stel!
