Nature house in Oudehorne

As you enter the cottage, the French windows overlooking the beautiful expansive surroundings immediately catch your eye. To the left is the kitchenette with utensils, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, induction cooktop and kettle. In front of the large window is a dining area. In the middle of the room is a sitting area with two armchairs, table and TV. The large double bed is somewhat hidden in the living-bedroom. From the bed you have a beautiful view of the meadows and the Tjonger. Through the garden doors you are immediately on the terrace. A place to enjoy the sun, the clouds, the water, the vast surroundings and especially the peace and quiet. On the ground floor you will also find the bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. The cottage is detached on a large yard of the characteristic lock keeper's house. This gives you plenty of privacy. Bed linen, towels, kitchen towel and tea towel are included in the price. Breakfast, meal and use of bicycles and canoe by arrangement.

The nature house is located in a unique place, on the Tjonger in Oudehorne near Heerenveen. This location is near several nature reserves on a vast plain in the Tjongervalley. From this beautiful place, on the border of three municipalities in the center of Southeast Friesland, you can immediately go in all directions for beautiful hiking, cycling (also MBT) and boating. Near the lock are several mooring spots for boats. In hot weather, a dip from the jetty in the Tjonger provides cooling. Waking up to the sound of the cuckoo.
