Nature house in Arbolí

La Sámara is an ecological lodging located 1 km from Arbolí, between the Muntanyes de Prades and the Priorat, in a privileged place in the middle of the forest, perfect to enjoy the tranquility. Ideal for hiking, cycling, climbing, wine tourism (Priorat and Montsant) and connect with nature. The house and the farm are designed following the principles of permaculture. A rustic, natural and comfortable experience to enjoy and learn to live in a more sustainable way. The house is ideal for 6 people. It has two spacious and bright rooms. One has a double bed and a single bed. The other has a double bed that can be converted into 2 single beds, and a single bed with a trundle bed. The hosts live on the same farm, in a small house located a few meters from the lodging. To access the house you have to walk 120m along a mountain path (not suitable for people with reduced mobility) from the parking area.

The house is built mostly with natural materials and designed with bioclimatic criteria. It works with solar panels and all the water we use comes from a spring on the farm itself. We use high efficiency wood stoves to heat the house and the hot water is solar thermal, supported by a wood boiler. We have a dry composting toilet and we purify all the water in the house naturally. On the farm we have a vegetable garden, chickens and a variety of fruit trees. We have a lifestyle in which we seek to minimize our impact on the environment, cycling our waste and using renewable energy sources. That is why sometimes some resources and services of the house may be limited or require your collaboration (hot water, electricity depending on the season, stove lighting...). We seek a balance between comfort and sustainability.
