Wake up to the song of birds, squirrels scurrying away in a tree as you are enjoying freshly prepared breakfast from local produce. You soon discover the forest which is located next to the cottage and take a lovely walk. In the village you will enjoy coffee and cake at Lisse. On the way back, you buy fresh eggs and honey from your neighbor. You consider what you want to do in the coming days. Perhaps take a ride on the steam train or visit the paper museum, or take the ferry at Brummen and cycle on to picturesque Bronckhorst! On your return, pour yourself a nice drink and take a seat in one of the comfortable armchairs. Time for a good book! 'Aan de Heemstede' consists of a lovely spacious room with a double bed, 2 nice armchairs and a closet (no separate living room!). There is a spacious bathroom with shower and toilet and you can use a small kitchen (cooking facilities 2 induction plates).
Nature and surroundings
On the edge of the forest lies nature house "on the Heemstede. Deer often walk through the meadows, birds of prey hang in the air looking for their next meal and squirrels play together in the trees. National park the Veluwe is just around the corner. There are plenty of opportunities for biking and hiking. In front of the door is a just constructed klompenpad, when you walk it you will pass a food forest where you might meet Henk and buy fresh vegetables or fruit! There are so many beautiful places around here like Bronckhorst, de Steeg or Loenen but also some larger cities like Arnhem, Deventer or Apeldoorn. In the summer months you can use the swimming pool behind the house. Do you already see yourself lying there in the sun? Besides booking we can certainly arrange some other things for you, like breakfasts, personal training or booking a table at the most delicious restaurants in the neighborhood. Ontvangst door Lenneke en Dries hebben wij als zeer hartelijk ervaren. We voelden ons meteen welkom.
Het huisje, waarin we verbleven, zag er mooi en netjes uit en was van de nodige gemakken voorzien, zoals een keukenblokje met kookvoorziening en een apart toilet. Boven een ruime badkamer met toilet en een aparte (romantisch ingerichte) 2 pers. slaapkamer.
Verder hebben we genoeg privacy ervaren ondanks het huisje zich op het erf van de eigenaren bevindt. Zo is er in de hoek
van de achtertuin een zitje, met overkapping gecreëerd waar wij ons konden terugtrekken om bijv. gebruik te kunnen maken van het zwembad en de jacuzzi. Daarnaast waren we in het bezit van een afstandsbediening van de toegangspoort en konden zo zelf bepalen hoe laat we weer naar het huisje wilden, dit wanneer we er bijv. ‘s avonds even op uit wilden.
Al met al een zeer geslaagde vakantie!! Groetjes Edwin en IlonaPrachtige omgeving waar we echt tot rust zijn gekomen!

De informatie op de site was erg minimaal en vaag (wat houdt bv ‘keuken’ in?). We hebben onvoldoende van de beloofde privacy ervaren. Het zwembad was alles behalve privé om dat we er niet autonoom over konden beschikken (openen/sluiten), evenmin als de poort. De verhuurder had vanaf zijn woning voortdurend en geheel het zicht op ons verblijf. Er was o.i. te veel (goedbedoelde) aandacht voor onze dagelijkse plannen en activiteiten. Ook zijn eigen gasten konden zich ongeremd via ons verblijf verplaatsen. De verhuurder maakt dagelijks meerdere malen gebruik van ons verblijf, zowel in de woning (wasmachine, niet bedoeld voor ons) als daarbuiten (terras en terrastafel). We hebben geen huisje gehuurd, maar gewoon een kamer. De rest was medegebruik door de verhuurder, en 3/4 van het huisje (zoals het toilet op de begane grond) zat op slot. Dan staat het geheel niet in verhouding tot de prijs.
In de OMGEVING (!) was er ruim voldoende rust, ruimte en natuur.
