Wake up to the song of birds, squirrels scurrying away in a tree as you are enjoying freshly prepared breakfast from local produce. You soon discover the forest which is located next to the cottage and take a lovely walk. In the village you will enjoy coffee and cake at Lisse. On the way back, you buy fresh eggs and honey from your neighbor. You consider what you want to do in the coming days. Perhaps take a ride on the steam train or visit the paper museum, or take the ferry at Brummen and cycle on to picturesque Bronckhorst! On your return, pour yourself a nice drink and take a seat in one of the comfortable armchairs. Time for a good book! 'Aan de Heemstede' consists of a lovely spacious room with a double bed, 2 nice armchairs and a closet (no separate living room!). There is a spacious bathroom with shower and toilet and you can use a small kitchen (cooking facilities 2 induction plates).

On the edge of the forest lies nature house "on the Heemstede. Deer often walk through the meadows, birds of prey hang in the air looking for their next meal and squirrels play together in the trees. National park the Veluwe is just around the corner. There are plenty of opportunities for biking and hiking. In front of the door is a just constructed klompenpad, when you walk it you will pass a food forest where you might meet Henk and buy fresh vegetables or fruit! There are so many beautiful places around here like Bronckhorst, de Steeg or Loenen but also some larger cities like Arnhem, Deventer or Apeldoorn. In the summer months you can use the swimming pool behind the house. Do you already see yourself lying there in the sun?
