Nature house in Nozières (Ardèche)

Our straw bale house is a self-construction of 130m2. It is heated with one central wood stove. This is sufficient because the house is super well insulated with straw.Absolute plus are the large windows through which you have a beautiful view of the mountains of the Ardeche. A living painting as it were. It is perfect for couples or families with children slightly larger because there is only a handrail halfway up the stairs and the outdoor terrace has no balustrade. Beautiful in any season, even with snow, but then snow tires are really essential.Good to know: the windows do not have curtains anywhere but there are sleep masks on site if needed. Also, the bedrooms have no doors. This is to preserve the openness of the house and to have good heating everywhere during the winter.Included in the price are made beds, bath and kitchen towels.

Our nature house is located at the edge of the picturesque village of Nozières at 1000m altitude and close to Lamastre and the river "le Doux".The area is very calm and restful. It offers many nature activities such as hiking, mountain biking, there is the beautiful cycling road "Dolce Via", one can swim in the river "Le Doux"... etc. For the gourmets: small French bistros can be found everywhere. There are daily markets with local products. During the summer months, you can visit local farms every Thursday. In Saint Bonnet le Froid there is the famous three-star restaurant of Regis and Jacques Marcon as well as their luxury spa and a golf course (30 km).In Nozières itself there is a grocery store + a post office and a restaurant/bar-tobacco. In Lamastre you will find stores, markets, tourist offices, restaurants ...
