Nature house in Veere

A luxury "cottage" in the middle of the Zeeland landscape, close to the beach and Lake Veere and with Veere, Domburg and Middelburg within easy reach. The vacation home is part of a traditional Walcheren farm (national monument "Buiten Verwachting") with its own garden, an old orchard and an unobstructed view over the lands of Walcheren and the Lange Jan of Middleburg. The vacation home was completely renovated in 2019 and is stylishly decorated. The house is fully equipped: wifi, dishwasher, oven, microwave, nespresso, smart TV, box springs (4x), wood stove, washing machine and a lovely terrace with large dining table and a sundowner deck). There is no TV connection but there is Netflix and a chromecast. The house is named after a barn owl pair who, as in the famous children's story, come back every year.

The nature house is located in the quiet rural outskirts between Veere and Middelburg with spacious views all around over the farm landscape. Lake Veere with its many beaches is nearby and the sea is within cycling distance (9km). From the cottage you can walk through the wooded lanes or on the boot path along the creek. Cycling is really fantastic with forest, dunes, farmland and bird area interspersed with beautiful towns and villages. The old farm itself is also beautiful: we manage it with the help of Stichting Landschapsbeheer Zeeland. For cultural - and of course culinary - adventures are: Veere, Middelburg very close, and Domburg within 15 minutes. Finally, Antwerp and Ghent can also be reached within an hour.
