Huisje onder de Linden is located in a rural location in the South Frisian village of Munnekeburen. The cottage has a nice kitchen sink (pantry) so a place to just make coffee and tea. You have a beautiful view of the Rottige Meente from the living room. We are a B&B so breakfast is included! De Linde has two bedrooms suitable for 2 persons per room, with excellent boxsprings. A nice sitting room with nice reused, refurbished furniture. Of course there is a lovely bathroom. Linen and bath towels are included in the price. If the guests wish, we can serve a 3-course menu in the B&B, taking into account any dietary needs. For longer stays, we can do the laundry for you if necessary. There is also a possibility to charge your (electric) car in front of the door.
Nature and surroundings
Munnekeburen is a lovely quiet village. Our cottage is located at the entrance of the beautiful nature reserve "The Rottige Meente" you can enjoy walking, cycling. There are many different birds, butterflies. If you are lucky you will see deer and there are even otters in the Rottige Meente. Well known is the foresters path (Staatsbosbeheer) where you walk about 15 -20 kilometers also around the Brandemeer. Many people who walk the Zuiderzee path know where to find us. The Stellingenpad, in 2023 proclaimed hiking trail of the year, also runs through the Rottige Meente. The Weerribben where more people have heard of are only 10 kilometers away. There, too, it's great hiking. But also a nice boat trip (Staatsbosbeheer) is possible. Or rent your own boat or canoe and explore the area. By bike there are just as many possibilities. Nature, peace & environment:Incredibly nice people, Paul and Monique! Very friendly and warm host/hostess. Cottage itself: also fantastic! Large glass rear facade overlooking a deep garden (which you may also use), with meadows behind: beautiful!
