Nature house in Hitzum

Very nice hostess who gave us directions to the cute log cabin. Through a cute little path (which is lit at night) to the log cabin, with trees to the left and right. The log cabin is back to basic, but everything you need is there. We had never really tried back to basic before, but it was a super fun experience! Again, that has its charms. Sleeping in a box bed was so cozy too. Plenty of room in the cottage. 2 days we used the hot tub, which also gives a bit of luxury. The showers in the sanitary building also nice and hot. There were also 2 dogs running loose in the farmyard, which are very sweet (large and small). And also with our 2 dogs went well. Occasionally they came to check on us. Behind the cabins is a field where you can walk the dog. Also looked at the cows and calves, so much fun. Very hospitable everyone! In short, we really enjoyed ourselves, thank you for your hospitality!

Hele aardige gastvrouw die ons wegwijs maakte naar de leuke blokhut. Via een schattig paadje (die 's avonds verlicht is) naar de blokhutten, met boompjes links en rechts. De blokhut is back to basic, maar alles wat je nodig hebt is er. We hadden nog nooit echt back to basic uitgeprobeerd, maar het was een super leuke ervaring! Dat heeft ook weer z'n charmes. Slapen in een bedstee was ook zo knus. Genoeg ruimte in het huisje. 2 dagen gebruik gemaakt van de hottub, wat toch ook weer een beetje die luxe geeft. De douches in het sanitair gebouw ook lekker warm. Ook liepen er 2 honden los op het boeren erf, die zijn hartstikke lief (grote en een kleine). En ook met onze 2 hondjes ging dat goed. Af en toe kwamen ze even bij ons kijken. Achter de blokhutten is een veld waar je lekker de hond uit mag laten. Ook even gekeken bij de koetjes en de kalfjes, zo leuk. Erg gastvrij allemaal! Kortom we hebben echt genoten, bedankt voor jullie gastvrijheid!

Delightful!!! We had a very relaxing weekend with beautiful weather. You sit nice and private, overlooking the meadows, sounds of birds, frogs, you see many swallows flying, super .... Great to unwind and enjoy the little things, a break in this fast world. You are also so in Franeker or Harlingen where you can store. We have also been with our dogs in the Franeker forest.

Heerlijk! We hebben een heel relaxt weekend gehad met mooi weer. Je zit lekker privé, kijkt uit over de weilanden, geluiden van vogels, kikkers, je ziet oa veel zwaluwen vliegen, super.. Heerlijk om tot rust te komen en te genieten van de kleine dingen, even op pauze in deze snelle wereld.

Je bent natuurlijk ook zo in Franeker of Harlingen waar je lekker kunt winkelen. We zijn ook nog even met onze hondjes in het Franeker bos geweest.

1.5 day in advance I was told that the house was double booked, I had to come a day later. Very unfortunate, due to all the fireworks and my scared dogs I had booked 4 months in advance. I found this very unfortunate and a bit late reaction from the landlady. The landlady did her best to make it up to me, I got my money back for that night anyway. In the end it was fine!

1.5 dag vantevoren kreeg ik te horen dat t huisje dubbelgeboekt was, ik moest n dag later komen. Erg jammer, ik had ivm met al t vuurwerk en mijn bange hondjes juist lekker vroeg, 4 maanden vantevoren gereserveerd.
Ik vond dit erg jammer en n beetje n erg late reactie van de verhuurster. De verhuurster deed wel echt haar best om t goed maken met me, ik kreeg sowieso mn geld van die nacht netjes terug.
Uiteindelijk prima geregeld!

Nice view from the cottage. Cottage was nicely decorated, landlady was friendly. Unfortunately less fireworks than expected, cottage was not very clean. I have 3 small dogs, found t very uncomfortable that the large dog vd landlady ran loose, he did nothing, but I found t just not pleasant that he ran loose around the cottages. I had indicated that one of my dogs does not get along with all dogs. Walking was really poop and pee and quickly back into the house. I went home a day early, back to basics is apparently not my thing, I prefer luxury and comfort. That was not because of the house and the environment, but purely because of me!

Mooie uitzicht vanuit het huisje. Huisje was leuk ingericht, verhuurster was vriendelijk.
Helaas minder vuurwerkarm dan verwacht, huisje was niet erg schoon.

Ik heb 3 kleine hondjes, vond t erg ongemakkelijk dat de grote hond vd verhuurster los liep, hij deed niets, maar ik vond t gewoon niet prettig dat hij ook bij de huisjes los rondliep. Ik had notabene aangegeven dat 1 van mijn hondjes niet met alle honden overweg kan. Uitlaten was dus echt poepen plassen en weer snel t huisje in. Mn hondjes hebben dus niet veel lol van het mooie uitlaatveld gehad.

Ik ben n dag eerder naar huis gegaan, back to basic is blijkbaar niet mijn ding, ik hou toch meer van luxe en veel comfort. Dat lag dus niet aan t huisje en de omgeving, maar puur aan mij!
