Nature house in Loenen

The cottage is fully equipped and thoughtfully furnished. Even if the weather isn’t ideal, the large windows offer a great view of the surroundings. It was very hot when we were there, so the air conditioning was a real lifesaver. The garden has also been thoughtfully landscaped, with an eye for detail. Next to the spacious patio stood three small catalpa trees that provided pleasant shade. Along the edge of the patio, there were rose and lavender plants that attracted butterflies, bees, and bumblebees. It was lovely to watch and very soothing. Our interactions with the hosts were very pleasant. They really made us feel welcome.

Het huisje is zeer compleet en met zorg ingericht. Mocht het een keer minder weer zijn, zorgen de grote ramen voor goed zicht op de omgeving. Het was erg warm toen wij er waren, de airco was echt een uitkomst. Ook over de inrichting van de tuin is nagedacht, met oog voor detail. Naast het ruime terras stonden 3 Catalpa boompjes die een prettige schaduw boden. Langs de rand van het terras beplanting met rozen en lavendel waar vlinders, bijen en hommels op afkwamen. Fijn om naar te kijken en heel rustgevend. Het contact met de gastheer en gastdame was heel prettig. Zij gaven je echt het gevoel welkom te zijn.

The cottage is set in a beautiful garden with plenty of privacy and unobstructed views. We enjoyed listening to the sounds of the many birds. It was also fun to watch the buzzards going about their business through the binoculars. In the evening, hares came to visit, and we even spotted a roe deer from the cozy terrace. It’s located on the edge of the Veluwe and close to the IJssel River.

Het huisje ligt in een prachtige tuin met veel privacy en vrij uitzicht. We hebben genoten van de geluiden van de vele vogels. Ook was het leuk om met de verrekijker de buizerds in de weer te zien. In de avond kwamen de hazen op bezoek en we hebben ook een ree gezien vanaf het gezellige terras. Het ligt aan de rand van de Veluwe en vlakbij de IJssel.

Only downside was the road to the cottage and accessibility by public transportation (over 2 km walk from the bus stop), as there was poor lighting in the area and in the yard of the cottage. Since we do not have a car this was less pleasant, especially during the dark winter months.

Enig minpuntje was de weg naar het huisje toe en de bereikbaarheid met het openbaar vervoer (ruim 2 km lopen vanaf de bushalte).
Er was namelijk slechte verlichting in de omgeving en op het erf van het huisje. Omdat wij geen auto hebben was dat minder prettig, zeker tijdens de donkere wintermaanden.

Het natuurhuisje was ruim en comfortabel schoon en gezellig ingericht.
Het was van alle gemakken voorzien.
Rustig gelegen met een super weids uitzicht.
Ideale uitvalsbasis om de Veluwe te ontdekken en mooie wandelingen en fietstochten te maken.

the vacation home is new, very clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Good spacious bed and nice private outdoor terrace with fantastic views over the meadows.
