All-in prices This beautiful Nature House in Groningen is not called Verbaarum's Pronkjuweel for nothing. A quiet, beautiful, wind-blown, sunny and private tent cottage has one large open space with a lovely thick box-spring bed with top mattress. If there is anything we value, it is a really good bed with great bedding. Living with the rhythm of nature, waking up to the singing birds. Picking berries in the garden, a well-equipped kitchen, a hammock, Hot-tub and bathhouse next to the tent, a veranda with lounge sofa and rocking chair in front of the tent...the wellness area with Kelo-sauna, the fireplace with outdoor cooking facilities, our organic garden, our old farm and the yard...all items that contribute to the atmosphere at this place...very close to the city of Groningen but in peace and quiet...close to the Reitdiepgebied, visit Middag-Humsterland, the wierden, the mud flats or make a day trip to the beautiful beaches at Schiermonnikoog.
Nature and surroundings
The tent is well away from 2 other tents in our newly planted food forest. A productive system with 3000 planted fruit, nut and supporting trees and shrubs. Among the trees, special cultivation techniques are used on the farm. Our authentic 1869 farmhouse with yard and moat are agricultural cultural heritage. We are located on Groningen's oldest dike and our farm is near an old dike breach and is therefore called De Poel. Our farm has been extensively researched by a historian for the farm book of Bedum and surroundings. In the present time on our farm no cows, horses, pigs or chicken sheds but small-scale and free-living poultry. No heavy machinery and tractors but handwork and power tools. No parched and impoverished land but small-scale regenerative agriculture. A small-scale community with many friends, harvest participants, biodiversity, greenery, surrounded by organic farmers

The farm is beautiful. It’s tastefully and functionally decorated, with plenty of space to give all guests a sense of privacy. The landscape surrounding the farm is pretty, but not particularly interesting for cycling or hiking. It’s actually quite monotonous and flat. (Lots of other farms, so mostly meadows and long, straight roads.) However, if you have a car, you can easily reach some lovely hiking areas!
