You’ll find one large open space with a wonderfully thick box-spring bed with a pillow top, a truly comfortable bed with a lovely warm down comforter, warm bedding, and an electric blanket. Inside the tent, you’ll find cozy blankets and a small gas and electric heater. The tent features a well-equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, an induction cooktop, and everything you need for cooking. Lounge on the porch, relax in the hammock, unwind and enjoy each other’s company in the private hot tub next to the tent or the sauna on the wellness area, take a shower in the private bathhouse next to the tent, and enjoy the warm flames of the fire pit with outdoor cooking options. The food forest with its organic garden, our historic farmhouse, the old farmyard with its moat… each of these elements contributes to the atmosphere of this place. Nature and surroundings
The Pronkjewail tent is situated at a generous distance from two other tents in a young food forest. Unique cultivation techniques are used among the trees on the farm. Our authentic farmhouse, built in 1869, with its courtyard and moat, is part of our agricultural cultural heritage. These days, our farm has no cows, horses, pigs, or chicken coops, but rather small-scale, free-range poultry. No heavy machinery or tractors, but rather manual labor and power tools. No parched and depleted soil, but small-scale regenerative agriculture. A small community with many friends, harvest-sharing participants, biodiversity, and greenery, located on Groningen’s oldest dike and surrounded by organic farmers. Very close to the city of Groningen but in a peaceful setting. You can borrow bicycles to explore the city or the surrounding area. Nearby you’ll find the Reitdiep region; visit Middag-Humsterland, the mound settlements, the mudflats, or take a day trip to the beautiful beaches on Schiermonnikoog.

The farm is beautiful. It’s tastefully and functionally decorated, with plenty of space to give all guests a sense of privacy. The landscape surrounding the farm is pretty, but not particularly interesting for cycling or hiking. It’s actually quite monotonous and flat. (Lots of other farms, so mostly meadows and long, straight roads.) However, if you have a car, you can easily reach some lovely hiking areas!
