This cozy cottage is located on a beautiful small-scale vacation park centered on the beautiful Goudmeer with recreational beach. The nature house is located in a beautiful forest and nature area on the border of the provinces of Friesland and Drenthe on the edge of the UNESCO nature reserve "Fochteloërveen". The pleasant ground floor luxury vacation home is in new condition (year of construction 2020) and has two bedrooms. Equipped with a modern kitchen with a combination microwave, gas stove and fridge freezer. Outside you will enjoy the open terrace with garden furniture. The vacation home is well insulated, so even in the winter months it is great to stay here. About 5 km away, in Oosterwolde, there are several supermarkets, stores and restaurants. You have your own parking space at the vacation home. Also easily accessible by public transportation, the bus stop is right in front of the park entrance.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house has an ideal location for exploring the nature in the area. Cyclists, hikers, birdwatchers and nature lovers can enjoy themselves here. The Fochterloërveen nature reserve is just a stone's throw away and is known for the presence of the crane and the marsh harrier. The national park Drents Friese Wold is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands and offers sand drifts, forest, heath and stream valley grasslands. The historic prison village of Veenhuizen is just around the corner is definitely worth a visit. This is part of the Colonies of Weldadigheid which have been awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO. The surroundings are wooded. Appelscha, Roden, Norg, Eelde and Zuidlaren are nice places to visit. Each with its own attractions and nice places to eat. A visit to the Wadden Islands is even fine. The cities Assen, Groningen and Heerenveen are within easy reach and there are several nice bike and walking routes in the area.
