My lovely nature house is still available during spring break! A comfortable, spacious 140-square-meter home with 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms under the Mediterranean sun. Suitable for 1 couple, or 2, with or without young children, or up to 6 friends. It’s situated on a hilltop in its own olive grove, with views of the Ebro Delta on one side and Tortosa and the Els Ports mountain range on the other. There’s a rooftop terrace and two other terraces on either side of the house, plus plenty of space in the garden for hammocks, chairs, and a picnic table. It’s located on a very quiet road, above the town of Tortosa. The house is largely self-sufficient: we get water from a communal well and have solar panels that provide us with plenty of electricity. Heating is provided by two powerful stoves, one of which powers the central heating system. The house is beautiful and comfortable, both inside and out. You do need to be prepared for silence and seclusion! The train runs nearby, and you’ll need a (rental) car.
Nature and surroundings
My house is located on a hilltop with a view of the Delta on one side and the Els Ports mountains on the other. Foxes and wild boars roam the area, and eagles and bee-eaters fly overhead. The region offers something interesting in every direction: the wide beaches of Deltebre, or the small, quiet coves of the Costa Daurada, a 30- to 40-minute drive away. The GR62 coastal trail for hiking. Trails, cool streams, and waterfalls in Els Ports; the Terra Alta and Priorat wine regions; sleepy mountain villages… there’s something for everyone. The house was spacious with a large plot and beautiful views. However, the state of maintenance was poor with much clutter around the house and a poorly kept garden. Landlord's response: We are currently building an extra room, which is why there are some building materials on 1 (unused) side of the house for follow-up work. In addition, we deliberately do not mow part of the year, in order to increase the biodiversity of both plants and animals. In recent years it has been extremely dry and we do less of an assault on the garden, to increase resilience. Most of our guests take great pleasure in the (wild) flowers and shrubs, and in the visits of the bee catchers and foxes.

De laatste jaren is het extreem droog geweest en doen we minder een aanslag op de tuin, om zo de weerbaarheid te verhogen. Het merendeel van onze gasten heeft veel plezier in de (wilde) bloemen en struiken, en in de bezoeken van de bijenvangertjes en de vosjes.Beautiful location and very quiet.
