Not only a beautiful place, but also a very nice cottage! With no immediate neighbors, located on a quiet country road you will find this former farmhouse. You step into the kitchen. In the middle a large fireplace with a gas stove, in the corner a kitchenette. The dining table is a wonderful place to sit because you can enjoy a beautiful view while having breakfast. Next to the kitchen a large room with double bed. On the garden side a cozy living room with wood stove and French doors to the enclosed garden. There is a shaded terrace, several garden sets are provided according to the sun or the view. On the first floor you will find two bedrooms (1 large and 1 small) with two single beds each and a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. You are surrounded by meadows and have beautiful views over the Limousin countryside. Parking is provided on site.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located south of Limoges (30 km), in the middle of meadows and two nature reserves. It is wonderfully quiet and ideal for walking or cycling. Nearby are several villages to visit such as Ségur le chateaux, Turenne, Montrol Sénard, Collonges-la-rouge etc, The route of Richard the Lionheart, with 19 attractions (including several castles) is located in the area. Those who prefer nature can enjoy hiking in the Massif des Monts de Blond (59 min), an unspoiled and remote region with menhirs and peculiar megaliths. A 40-minute drive away is the huge lake: Lac de Vassivière (located in the Millevaches Natural Park). On its shores you can do numerous activities such as sailing, canoeing, archery, tennis, miniature golf and slides. At 7 km is a guarded swimming lake with beach and playground (Chateauneuf-la-forêt). The area is also known for its numerous bird species (including birds of prey) and beautiful wildflowers.
