Nature and surroundings
The gîte is located in the heart of the Sidobre, in the Haut Languedoc regional nature park, between Castres and Brassac. The small road ends here and becomes a footpath leading to the Secun menhir and the Sidobre rocks. This little cocoon is very peaceful. It’s a beautifully renovated old mountain cabin, equipped with all modern conveniences and decorated in a very cozy style. We were welcomed by Clara and her sister. They speak English well and are incredibly kind and hospitable. There’s a small, unattended shop where you can stop by 24/7 to pick up local products (pay cash in a box). You can also borrow maps of the area there, and there are brochures about local shops and events. In short: very well-maintained and, at the same time, a true nature house.
