The name came about, due to the almost annual hatching of young tawny owls on our biodiversity plot. It is a fully equipped nature house, consisting of living room with wood stove and open kitchen with 2-burner induction hob. From the living room you enter a spacious bedroom with French doors to the garden. In the living room is a staircase to the mezzanine with a 2 pers.bed. (=Slaapkm. 2) Through the utility room with cupboard and combi oven-microwave, you enter the bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and a wood-fired sauna. "The Tawny Owl" is located on a large private plot with walking paths around the meadow and the kolk, where chickens, cats and our dog roam freely. Your garden has a picnic table, mini kamado, BBQ, fire basket and is located behind the house. Here you can enjoy peace and privacy with a wide view of the sheep pasture. At "The Tawny Owl" is a terrace located on a pond with flower border. You can park your car on the property. It is not suitable for the disabled.
Nature and surroundings
"De Bosuil" is 5 km from Hengelo (GLD) and located in a beautiful, quiet, spacious and very wooded outdoor area with many hiking and cycling routes, including Pieter path, (150 m. from your stay). It is also located within walking distance of the "Hengelse Zand" and the golf course "t Zelle". The beautiful Mountain Bike Route Zelhem is 800m away in the woods. The coulisse landscape is characterized by its beautiful nature, beautiful Hanseatic towns and quaint villages and also culturally there is much to discover. The cost includes bed linen, kitchen linen, hamam towels, bathrobes. The 1st basket of wood is free. Sauna fragrances are for sale for a small fee. Toerist bel. is also charged in gem Bronckhorst for babies, nature house does not charge this, this is in the Netherlands per gem. different. For children between 1-3 yr. is € 12,50 p.n. calculated, these should be paid on the spot. Bicycles; to rent via Slotboom. We can ensure that these are present on the day of your arrival.
