A very nice, clean, and fully equipped house!

The cottage is truly amazing! Huge grounds (several hectares) with unobstructed views. Beautiful skies.

Het huisje is echt geweldig! Enorme ruimte (enkele hectares) vrij uitzicht. Prachtige luchten.

It would have been a solid 10 if the little road leading to the cottage were a bit more car-friendly. Just a few less potholes and loose gravel would already help. Parking upstairs in the hayloft is nice and a good solution, but you also have to unload and reload your car, and that’s a bit of a challenge. We arrived loaded down with two bikes on the back of our heavy hybrid and couldn’t make it up the hill because we didn’t have enough pressure on the front tires—despite the driving instructions we’d been given. Too bad.

Het zou een hele vette dikke 10 zijn geweest als het weggetje om bij het huisje te komen iets vriendelijker is voor auto’s. Iets minder kuilen en los liggend grind zou al helpen. In de hooischuur boven parkeren is fijn en een goede oplossing echter je moet je auto ook uit en inpakken en dan heb je een uitdaging. Wij kwamen bepakt en bezakt met 2 fietsen achterop met onze zware hybride niet boven omdat we te weinig druk op de voorwielen hadden. Dit ondanks de rij instructie die we gekregen hadden. Jammer.

Karel and Caroline’s little house is fantastic. It’s spacious, fully equipped, and offers a stunning view and incredible peace and quiet. All you can hear are the crickets—nothing else. Even though we were there during the hottest part of the season, it was a wonderful place to stay. There are plenty of shady spots to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. We even saw a little deer pass by a few times.
Karel and Caroline’s hospitality definitely deserves a mention. Upon arrival, we found a well-stocked refrigerator. It’s nice that there are still people these days who think ahead so you don’t have to rush to the store right away for food and drinks. Especially in this increasingly individualistic world, it’s a special surprise.

The surroundings are gorgeous. Unfortunately, due to the heat—between 37 and 40 degrees—we couldn’t do everything we’d planned, but thanks to the peace and quiet of the house, it was still a successful vacation.

Het huis(je) van Karel en Caroline is fantastisch. Ruim van alle gemakken voorzien en een schitterend uitzicht en een ongelooflijke rust. Je hoort alleen de krekels en verder niet. Ondanks het feit dat wij in de heetste periode aanwezig waren is het goed toeven. Er zij voldoende schaduwplekken om van de mooie natuur te genieten. Een paar keer een hertje voorbij zie komen.
De gastvrijheid van Karel en Carolien mag zeker genoemd worden. Bij aankomst vonden we een goed gevulde koelkast. Fijn dat er in deze tijd nog mensen zijn die meedenken zodat je niet meteen naar de winkel moet voor eten en drinken. Zeker in deze wereld van verdere individualisering een bijzondere verrassing.

De omgeving is schitterend. Helaas door de hitte, tussen de 37 en 40 graden niet alles kunnen doen wat we voor ogen hadden maar dankzij de rust en stilte van het huis toch een geslaagde vakantie

We had a wonderful stay here. Everything was nice and spacious. The view was spectacular, and there was so much "private property."
It was very thoughtful and kind of them to have a fully stocked refrigerator waiting for us.

We hebben hier een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Alles lekker ruim. Het uitzicht was bijzonder en ook zoveel 'eigen grond'.
Heel attent en aardig was dat er een gevulde koelkast gereed stond.
