Welcome to this nature house—a boutique B&B! A spacious guesthouse (40 m²) situated in a former pigsty on a historic farm dating back to 1870. An avenue lined with poplar trees leads you to this picturesque spot with beautiful views. The perfect place for hikers, cyclists, those seeking peace and quiet, bon vivants, or creative types to enjoy the tranquility and complete privacy after, for example, a day of exploring this beautiful area. The accommodation, a semi-detached unit with its own entrance and terrace, is available for a maximum of 2 adults. It is equipped with bath and bed linens, a luxurious double bed, a separate toilet, a bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. (Basic spices provided; please bring any additional supplies yourself!) After a short 4-minute morning walk along our lane and through picturesque meadows, you can enjoy a wonderful breakfast buffet every day at Herberg de Gouden Leeuw, located in the town center: breakfast is included in the price for one morning only. Bronkhorst, located in the floodplains of the IJssel River, was granted city rights in 1482 and has a population of just 90; this makes Bronkhorst the smallest inhabited town in the Netherlands. The IJsseldijk is perfect for an alternative cycling route from Arnhem (20 km) to Deventer (20 km), and therefore a popular cycling hub. The Hanseatic cities of Zutphen and Doesburg are both 10 km away. If you take the ferry from Bronkhorst to Brummen, you’ll reach the Veluwe, home to the Posbank with its heathlands, ancient forests, and shifting sand dunes. The Kröller-Müller Museum is a must-see! Bronkhorst is located in the municipality of Bronckhorst and is part of “the Achterhoek,” a region in the Netherlands’ largest province, Gelderland. Here you can enjoy nature (the “coulisse” landscape), culture, and history (no fewer than 22 castles), or indulge in culinary delights. There’s also the so-called “Rivierenland,” with picturesque dikes, wide floodplains, and orchards bursting with fruit in the summer. Nestled among all this beauty is this nature house—welcome!
