A place for coffee in the morning sun, a good book in the afternoon, or just to stare and do nothing. Nature is not a backdrop here, but part of your day. Stay for a few days, a midweek or a whole week. Every day feels different here, every day begins anew. Recharge in nature, without having to. This is truly the "not-flying-well-country" feeling.
Nature and surroundings
From your meadow suite you walk or bike directly into the Frisian nature. You will stay here along the Elfstedenroute, in the middle of meadows and water, in a quiet place without heavy traffic. On the premises is Restaurant WeidumerHout. One of Friesland's best-known restaurants, where local Frisians love to eat and guests from further afield are just as welcome. We cook according to the New Frisian Cuisine, using local and seasonal products. The restaurant is open selectively; reservations are therefore convenient and pleasant.Nearby are National Park De Alde Feanen and National Park Lauwersmeer, both a short distance away and suitable for a day in nature.Rent a sup or canoe and discover the Eleven Cities Route from the water, or get on your bike and follow winding paths between villages and meadows.Leeuwarden is about 15 minutes by bike. Other Elfsteden towns are also easily accessible and form a nice contrast to the tranquility of the countryside.
